The public program of presentations entitled Zareh Vorbuni’s Literary Legacy accompanies the work towards publication and aims to present to the braoder public the literary legacy of diasporan Armenian writer Zareh Vorbuni. The partial republication and publication of Vorbuni’s work presents a series of public readings, workshops and a lecture dedicated to the founder of the “nouveau roman” in the Armenian context. Based on the examination of the initial publication of Vorbuni’s novels, their critical reception and editorial interventions, the public program aims at developing a critical discourse and a new culture of reading wherein the contextual histories shaping the literary work are seen as part and parcel of the work itself. The program aims at the publicisation and critical evaluation of diaspora Armenian literature.
In 2019 it was supported by the Ministry of Culture, Education and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.
The presentations are held in Armenian.
